The Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, also known as PACA, is a region in southeastern France that is home to some of the country's most beautiful beaches. PACA's beaches offer a wide variety of landscapes, ranging from vast stretches of fine sand to secluded coves lined with spectacular cliffs. Some of the most beautiful beaches in the region include the Calanque de Sormiou beach, Notre Dame beach on the island of Porquerolles, the beach at Le Lavandou, Pampelonne, La Paloma beach, or La Mala beach. Each of these beaches offers a unique experience, whether you want to relax in the sun, practice water sports or discover secret coves.

SORMIOU

The beach of the Calanque de Sormiou is a beautiful beach located in the Calanques National Park, about 10 km from Marseille. This white sand beach offers a spectacular view of the surrounding limestone cliffs and the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

It is accessible by foot, boat, and by car only part of the year, making it an ideal destination for those looking to get away from the crowds and enjoy a natural preserved environment.

Sormiou beach is also a popular starting point for hiking along the cliffs and for water activities such as diving and kayaking.

PLAGE DE NOTRE-DAME PORQUEROLLES

Notre-Dame beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Porquerolles, located in the Var department in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.

This fine white sand beach stretches for about 1 km and offers a spectacular view of the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean. Notre Dame Beach is very popular with swimmers and water sports enthusiasts because of its idyllic setting and shallow waters.

Popular activities on the beach include snorkeling, windsurfing and kayaking. The beach is accessible by foot or bicycle from the island's port.

PLAGE DU LAVANDOU

The Lavandou beach is a famous sandy beach located in the town of Le Lavandou, in the Var. It is about 12 km long and is bordered by a lively pedestrian promenade with many stores, restaurants and bars.

The beach is divided into several sections, each with its own charm and attractions, ranging from the family beach of Saint-Clair to the lively beach of Cavalière. The crystal clear Mediterranean waters are ideal for swimming, snorkeling and water sports such as windsurfing and kitesurfing.

Visitors can also enjoy the festive atmosphere of the beach, which offers entertainment for all ages, live music concerts and sporting events.

The beach of Pampelonne is a famous beach located in the town of Ramatuelle, near Saint-Tropez, on the French Riviera. This fine sandy beach stretches for about 5 km and is famous for its crystal clear waters, trendy beach restaurants and festive parties (Loulou à Ramatuelle, Nikki Beach...).

Pampelonne Beach attracts visitors from all over the world with its glamorous atmosphere and beautiful setting overlooking the surrounding hills and the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean.

PLAGE DE LA MALA

The beach of la Mala is often described as the most beautiful beach of the French Riviera. I can confirm that this is true. This discreet beach is not known by all because it is necessary to walk to reach it.

It has a corner with restaurants and deckchairs (la Réserve de la Mala) and a corner to put your towels and swim in the beautiful crystal clear water.

If you swim a little along the cliffs that border this beach, you will be able to reach a cave located on the surface of the water. This beach is also a beautiful refuge for boats.
